What is Renuvion?
Renuvion is a technologically-advanced device that uses cold helium plasma to naturally contract and tighten the skin. The Renuvion device combines helium gas and radiofrequency energy which create cold helium plasma when combined. Cold helium plasma tightens the skin and dramatically boosts and stimulates the production of collagen, which provides elasticity and firmness within the skin.

How Renuvion Works
Dr. Macias will start your Renuvion treatment with a thorough consultation so that he can examine your skin laxity and concerns, review your medical history and discuss your goals for the procedure. With Dr. Macias, you will determine which areas you would like to target for your treatment. These areas may include the face, abdomen, neck, legs, buttocks and back.
When you’re ready for the procedure, Dr. Macias will use local anesthetic to numb the treatment area. He will then make a very small incision, less than half a centimeter, through which he will insert the Renuvion device. The device will then emit ionized gas and radiofrequency, which join together to create cold helium plasma and instantly begin to take effect by generating enough heat to contract the skin and melt fat, while excess helium gas cools the area. The combination of energy tightens the skin and underlying tissues to tighten and firm up. Each area treated takes about 15-30 minutes.
What Can I Expect After Renuvion?
You’ll need about a week to rest and recover after your Renuvion treatment. You will wear a compression garment once the procedure is complete. This will help reduce swelling or a buildup of fluid.
After 5-7 days, you should be able to return to light work or your usual activities, but wait until you have an okay from Dr. Macias before doing anything strenuous.
Even while you’re recovering, you’ll be able to see firmer and tighter skin. More results will be visible as the swelling subsides over the next month. As the boost of collagen continues to produce tighter, new skin, you’ll see continued rejuvenation results over a period of 6-9 months. During this time you will see more dramatic, significant improvement.
Renuvion results are very long lasting, for a minimum of five years.
